Well acted, well directed, well produced, well cast.. But.. the worst writing I have ever experienced in the history of being a recipient of storytelling. Whiney girl, whine whines about her female privileged live, in a female dominant society, the guy whom we see she passed over receives her message from the grave, and we’re meant to feel bad for her and angry at him? cry cry?.. NF should sue the writer of this and get their money back, this writing is like when a telemarketer phones you and reads off a sheet, 13 reasons script is that sheet.
It went beyond offensive, into disbelief, then even beyond that, like if.. someone in a YT video poured melted chocolate on a fried egg, and your just standing there watching it, then they eat it, and you feel, somewhat less of human being for watching it in the first place. This series is the femi-drama self indulgence equivalent to the horror of grindhouse, if grindhouse wasnt horror, but self indulgence. This is ‘Hobo With a Shotgun’ femi-drama.
If you let your child watch this; you are a bad parent. fact.
It is the TV equivalent of 'Dear Daddy' the much hated TV advert and is feminist crack cocaine. Getting high on the tears, misery and futility of being a western man.
I 'get' that one of the characters was raped, and rape is unacceptable in any form, so I guess in many ways, that particular subplot gets a pass,..but..OH MAN.. that girl lived in a nice house*, had loving parents who gave her space so she could grow.. and that school, was NOTHING like the school of my teens, being beaten everyday was regular for 90% of us males, teachers harassing pupils, both physically and mentally, was common place.. it was 'prison for children' without the male on male rape. Teachers seemed kind and caring in her school, one even trying to find her a friend, the pupils of her school had 'goals'.. my greatest goal was get through the day without taking a beating or getting expelled for reacting to the beatings or stress of threat. Americans have it SO easy. I guess Scotland really is as tough as other countries say.
But I digress, in such a way you get where the colour of my glasses come from. So I may be overstating some of the points I make, because I'm not American and didn't grow up in your country, and here is.. different.*
}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} some time later..
SOOO.. I just watched the last reason. SPOILER: all previous reasons were nonsense, she did because she was raped.
Watch out.. dont buy your child a teddy bear coz it might contain rapists in the stuffing. NF get your money back!!!
As a teen I raped a total of 0% of girls in my school, in fact 0% of the human population. If you know of a guy who is obviously raping girls.. im looking at you American teen jocks, why wouldn't his friends beat him until he broke his pelvis, out of the shame of him daring to be a friend then also being a rapist?.. If a guy hits a woman in Scotland one of two things are going to happen, 1. she phones the police and they handle it. 2. she tells her family and the male members get a few lads and go and break his legs.. vice verse for lassies and guys too.. if a lassie hits a guy. the guy will tell his sister/s.. and his sister will go and destroy that lassie. Chunks of hair and scalp flying.
Why wouldn't you beat him for being a rapist? I dont understand.
Anyways.. maybe this isn't a true reflection of American life, it is the fantasy it makes itself out to be. So then the only 'reason' it exists is to teach little girls.. western men are.. evil?
Men in general are evil?
To be brave and not kill yourself because third generation feminist have broken society, unless you male, then go right ahead. And if you're female, don't worry they are working on getting every girl a castle, servants and a pony for 2050.

*I and most people I know, live in houses little bigger than an American living room.. for the total size of the whole house!
*see what I did there.. I overstated it then.. understated it.. clever eh?.. no.. no one ever gets these little poetic things i do, this is actually my first time pointing it out, after years upon years of blogging on various subject on different blogs.. i have wondered for years if i should just give up.. :/
